Le Méridien Etoile in Paris, located in the heart of the city’s conference district, has selected Quadriga to provide its market-leading entertainment and internet solution, Genesis, in all of its 1025 guest rooms. This represents the largest ever single installation, another significant milestone for Quadriga, with Genesis available in over 120,000 rooms across Europe and the Middle East.
For Le Méridien Etoile, part of the Starwood Hotels and Resorts group, guest satisfaction is the number one consideration and the TV in the room is a key factor – both in terms of the screen itself and the choice and quality of available content. As a totally integrated entertainment and internet solution with a wide choice of entertainment content and guest services, Quadriga Genesis presented the ideal solution. Guests will benefit from access to the Internet from the TV and to further enhance the overall guest experience and room aesthetics each room will be equipped with 32 inch LCD flat-screen displays from Philips.
Guests will enjoy movies and music-on-demand, so they can watch and listen to what they want, when they want, featuring the latest Hollywood releases and Blockbusters, Hollywood Greats, a growing selection of country specific content, Kids and Short content, all delivered via satellite to ensure guests enjoy the most up-to-date content as possible.
According to Jean-Luc Cousty, Deputy General Manager of Le Méridien Etoile, “We know that our guests have very individual tastes regarding their selection of in-room entertainment. Genesis, with content available in a wide range of languages, allows us to choose from a selection of content packages to meet specific guest profiles. The ability to access the Internet from the TV was also a key factor in selecting the appropriate solution for our guests.”
Choice and quality of content was not the only consideration. The opportunity to develop new revenue opportunities is a priority for any hotel, and with customer data showing that Genesis is proven to generate at least three times more revenue for the hotelier than traditional analogue pay TV systems, this was a key factor for Le Méridien Etoile. Jean-Luc Cousty adds, “Our objective is to increase guest satisfaction whilst improving our in-room revenues and we are confident we can achieve this with the Genesis solution provided by Quadriga today.”
