Quadriga selects global logistics provider Kuehne + Nagel - 19-06-2009

Quadriga, the leading provider of internet and entertainment services for the hotel industry across Europe and the Middle East, has selected one of the world’s largest logistics provider, Kuehne + Nagel to manage its supply chain including logistics and distribution of all materials out to its hotel customers. As partner to the world’s leading hotel chains, Quadriga was looking for a logistics provider who could deliver improvements in stock control and thus the overall customer fulfilment process.
It was important for Quadriga to partner with a company who had the necessary scale and experience to help deliver optimum levels of customer service, involving meeting stringent delivery commitments across Europe and the Middle East. Kuehne + Nagel demonstrated its ability to meet these requirements, through its established Hotel Logistics service offering, drawing on its extensive experience working with luxury hotel operators, procurement companies, and amenity distributors, among other exclusive suppliers to the hospitality market.

Following completion of a successful implementation phase, Quadriga and Kuehne + Nagel have successfully transitioned the supply chain operation, involving the movement of all supplies to one of Kuehne + Nagel’s main UK storage and distribution hubs. Materials are stored here as required, ensuring a lean approach to inventory and quickly turned around to meet customer orders, with a unique parts list for each individual hotel. Orders are then distributed out via Kuehne + Nagel’s European groupage network ensuring that all hotel customers receive their supplies and equipment in line with agreed installation and service availability commitments.
